Torrential Rains Didn't Stop The Fun!
The torrential downpour didn't put a halt to the fun at the 2011 Bethany Adoption Picnic this past Saturday. Everyone brought their own form of "sunshine" with smiling faces and laughter!
There was still faces to be painted and balloon animals to make. Horse and pony rides brought delight to many kids up until the heavy rain. Crafts and designing your own sweet/favorite cookie...and just maybe that frosting on the cookie made it's way a little more around the mouth than in the mouth. :)
And those hamburgers and hot dogs, probably even tasted better as we all huddled together under one pavilion!.....but really, isn't that what a great picnic is.....hanging out with one another and enjoying all the unexpected things that make it fun!
God gave us "sunshine" even in the rain!

94 Safe Families / Lydia Home Foster Kids Receive Backpacks!
His Heart and Hands Orphan Ministry, along with Safe Families and Lydia Home, would like to give a big THANKS to everyone who made this year's Backpack Drive a blessing to so many kids! HHH was able to fill 94 backpacks with school supplies to be handed out to Safe Families and Lydia Home kids --- to give them the necessary starting tools to have a great beginning to their school year and education.

Let's Get Clippin' For The Kids!
One of the ways we can help those involved in SafeFamilies is to clip coupons for diapers, formula, and other baby items. Please place them in the box at the Kids Konnections Information Station.
Orland Park Preschool Trikathon Raised $3000
Orland Park Preschool got on their wheels and peddled to raise $3000 for mattresses and furniture for the orphanage in Honduras! WAY TO GO KIDS!! The kids in Honduras thank you for their good night's sleep!
