Arvil & Miriam Coming To Orland Park CRC March 26-27

Arvil & Miriam, from Hogar Amor Orphanage in Honduras, are coming to Chicago and Orland Park Church. They are coming to bring thanks to OPCRC for all our support over the years.

This coming Saturday, March 26 there is a gathering for all who have traveled to visit the orphanage, have or are sponsoring children there or have in anyway encouraged or donated to any projects at the orphanage.  A pizza party has been planned at 5pm at Orland Church.  Please email Jan Kamp @kampers07@sbcglobal.net if you'd like join us.  We just need to know the number coming so we have enough food for all.

On Sunday, March 27, between services, Arvil & Miriam will be in the music room where you can also meet them.

Bra Drive For Former Girls and Women Of Trafficking

We are again collecting and new or good condition bras for our Bra Drive that will be held May 8-15.

Trafficking affects the lives of many vulnerable children, especially young girls.  We joined together with Free the Girls and hosted a Bra Drive with the hopes of collecting 500 bras for survivors of trafficking.  Free the Girls is a non-profit organization that helps women who have been rescued from human trafficking, many of whom were sold into prostitution when they were only 8-10 years old.  Because their lives were stolen from them, they missed out on going to school and getting an education.  Selling second-hand bras allows them to respectfully earn an income, rebuild their lives ad support their children.

Rummage Sale - Friday & Saturday May 13 & 14

Friday, May 13 (8-2pm)
Saturday, May 14 (8-noon)
ORLAND PARK CHURCH
7500 W Sycamore Drive

Every day, all over the world and in our communities, there are children that are living alone.  These children were created in God's image.  They were not meant to live in dumps, fields, alleys, streets, and parks.  They have been abandoned, usually due to issues beyond their control, like AIDS, war, and extreme poverty.

It is absolutely heartbreaking, but there is hope! You and I, we can be that hope.  We can get involved in their story, show them love, and restore their hope.  Through this rummage sale for orphans, you can play a huge part.

DONATE
Donate anything that you don't need or want, and that you are willing to sacrifice.  Drop-off times:  Wednesday, May 11, 5-7 pm and Thursday, May 12 7-9 pm in the Family Life Center.

GIVE
Give monetary donations.  ALL proceeds of the rummage sale will go to help orphans in our community and around the world.

HELP
We can make a difference!  Come volunteer to set up or work the sale, or donate some baked goods.
